1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Math Alpha platform ("Service"), operated by Pollen Tech Inc. ("we", "us", or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
Math Alpha is an education platform that enables teachers to create math quizzes, leverage AI-assisted grading, and integrate with Google Classroom. Students use the platform to take assigned quizzes and review their results.
3. Accounts and Registration
You must sign in with a valid Google account to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and to promptly update it if it changes.
4. User Roles
The Service supports two primary roles: Teacher and Student. Teachers may create, edit, publish, and manage quizzes. Students may take published quizzes and view their results. Access to certain features is restricted by role.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws.
- Upload content that is offensive, harmful, or infringes the rights of others.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service.
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure.
- Use automated tools to scrape, copy, or extract data from the Service without permission.
6. Content Ownership
Teachers retain ownership of quiz content they create. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your content solely for the purpose of operating the Service. We do not claim ownership of user-generated content.
7. AI-Assisted Grading
The Service uses artificial intelligence to assist with grading certain question types. AI-generated scores and feedback are provided as suggestions and may not always be accurate. Teachers retain full authority to review and override AI-generated grades at any time.
8. Google Classroom Integration
The Service integrates with Google Classroom to sync courses, assign quizzes, and report grades. By enabling this integration, you authorize us to interact with your Google Classroom data in accordance with Google's API Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy.
9. Availability and Modifications
We strive to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time with reasonable notice when possible.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Pollen Tech Inc. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of data, grades, or academic outcomes.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at our discretion if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect.
12. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
